Welcome
to the Analyst Academy online!
The
Analyst Academy is a three day intensive seminar tailored to the needs
of business analysts. It focuses on the skills that are essential for
analysts in private and public sectors. Specifically, the seminar fosters
communication, analytics, and administration skills.
The
date for the next public Analyst Academy has not been fixed yet, but the
seminar is continuously offered as an in-house program, tailored to the
needs of a department or unit.
For
a general overview of the Academy, here is a list of issues that the Analyst
Academy examines:
-
applying tools to compress, contextualize, check, and communicate complex
information
- using
high-leverage analyst tools such as decision tools, knowledge maps,
summarizers
- getting
and keeping decision maker's attention (and consensus)
- synthesizing
your analysis and findings through abstracts and compressing your insights
and expertise visually through conceptual diagrams
- developing
and marketing yourself as a domain expert ('analyst signalling')
- managing
your community of expert contacts
- avoiding
cognitive biases that negatively affect the quality of an analysis
- increasing
information quality and impact in various formats (e-mail, presentations,
reports).
The
Analyst Academy also gives you to the opportunity to profit from other
analysts' experiences and backgrounds. All courses of the Analyst Academy
are taught - depending on the preferences of the participants - in English,
French or German.
